A Change of Pace

So for the regulars, you may have noticed the redesigned layout. It just had to be done. This is more professional and cleaner anyway. It's obviously much easier to read as well.

I did this for several reasons.
The previous layout was a hindrance, meaning it messed up in Internet Explorer's browser. This was unacceptable. Even though I hate Internet Explorer with a burning passion, I have to accommodate it because after Mozilla, IE is the second most used browser to view my site.

Secondly I needed a place to put some advertisements and to allow for the sale of some of that space. This helps me to keep my overhead low so that I can better assist artists without having to spend all my money on maintaining this site. By the way, this site believe it or not is hosted by Blogspot.

My purpose for using Blogspot over Wordpress is that I have so much customization on blogspot and don't have to host it in order to get the customization level I want. Not to mention that I get hosted for free and never have to worry about my server going down because Blogger is a part of Google. These are just the pluses, as well as keeping my overhead low. That's pretty important.

With the new layout comes some fresh ideas. I need to write more and make it relevant. I am actually part of a group called Top Spin Media which was created by NIN's Trent Reznor. Now I'm not part of the company, but I am a part of the Google group and it provides me with a lot of insight into the music industry. Are you wondering why I am plugging what could possibly be a competitor? Honestly I believe information sharing is vital if we are to transform the music industry and one of my services here on Dead Kittie Productions is information brokerage. So look for me to give some insight into the world with out the BIG 4.
